About the Role

The Patient Navigator RN - Third Party Reproduction role is an ideal opportunity for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals seeking to make a meaningful impact in the field of reproductive health. You will play a vital role in supporting patients undergoing Third Party Reproductive (TPR) services, guiding them through their treatment journey, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure an exceptional experience.

We are seeking a Patient Navigator RN - Third Party Reproduction to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - Michigan in Macomb, MI. This is a full-time onsite position working Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 3-4 weekends per year and one holiday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the dedicated RN Patient Navigator throughout each patient's fertility treatment journey, including third-party reproduction cases as applicable, providing comprehensive clinical coordination, education, and compassionate support. 
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor responses to fertility treatments, and review medication reactions and laboratory results; provide triage support and clinical guidance within the RN scope of practice.
  • Educate patients on treatment protocols, medication administration, procedures, and expected outcomes, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their care.
  • Coordinate appointments, laboratory work, procedures, and follow-up visits while collaborating with physicians, financial counselors, embryology, genetics, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, individualized patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR, monitor patient progress, follow up on missed appointments, and promote adherence to treatment plans.
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact by addressing patient questions, providing emotional support, and helping remove barriers to care throughout the treatment cycle.
  • Assume expanded clinical responsibilities as needed, functioning at the full scope of the RN license, including sonography and surgical suite support, in alignment with state regulations and clinic protocols; training will be provided for any required skills not yet held.
  • Participate in team case reviews, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation (additional compensation provided).
  • Be available for occasional weekends and holiday coverage as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Education & Licensure:
    • BSN preferred.
    • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan is required.
    • BLS required.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating third-party reproduction (TPR) cases required. Experience coordinating fertility treatments, including assisted reproductive technology (ART) cycles, is highly preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years RN experience, ideally in women's health, fertility, OB/GYN, or a related clinical setting.
    • Familiarity with EMR systems and patient coordination processes.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance processes, and patient advocacy.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent time and people management skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize work. 
    • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare software.
    • Empathy and a patient-focused approach, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
