Job description

We are currently looking for aStaffing Coordinator tojoin our enthusiastic team at Paul's Run.
Paul's Run Retirement Community in Northeast Philadelphia has a reputation as one of the BEST senior health care providers. We take pride in our dedicated team members who support and care for our residents. We are family!
Shift / Schedule available:
  • Full Time
  • Monday-Friday
  • 2 days: 6:00am-2:00pm
  • 3 days: 8:00am-4:00pm

Key job responsibilities include:
  • Ensure that the monthly nursing staffing schedules are completed and posted two weeks in advance and updated weekly.
  • Process requests for "Annual Leave".
  • Schedule nursing staff for completion of recaps in a timely manner and report to Supervisor and Director of Nursing regarding assigned schedule.
  • Ensure that all employees are trained on staffing policies.
  • Ensure that all pool employees maintain weekend and holiday commitments to the facility.
  • Schedule weekend "make-ups" and notify each employee of their responsibility to work an additional weekend day(s).
  • Maintain a three-month schedule within your computer with access to Supervisor and Director of Nursing.
  • Ensure that daily staffing and narcotic sheets are on the units every day.
  • Liaison for payroll.
  • Follow-up for all call outs received during working hours.
  • Provide Hour-Per-Patient Day Report (HPPD) to Nursing Office and NHA.
  • Initiate all Personal Status Change Forms and forward to the Director of Nursing for signature.
  • Liaison with Human Resources for all FMLA and Leave of Absence requests by nursing employees.
  • Track absenteeism, lateness, and patterns of absenteeism as per the policy.
  • Track all employees' licensure and certification. Ensure compliance with Board of Nursing Regulations.
  • Maintain an active file of all Supplemental Staffing Agencies.
  • Ensure that all bills received from Supplemental Agencies are correct and then forward to the Director of Nursing for payment.
  • Ensure that all new employees complete their orientation and competencies within three months of the hire date.
  • Timely follow up with all responsibilities regarding new employees.
  • Coordinate the in-services education for all nursing employees.
  • Liaison for educational needs from outside resources.
  • Maintain an updated employee phone number list.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Current C.N.A. certification preferred.
  • Familiar with medical terminology and experience preferred in Unit Clerk and Medical Records responsibilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of State and Federal regulations pertaining to medical records.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have good communication skills on phone and in person.
  • Must be computer literate.
