Job description

The Digital Identity capability within Avanade focuses on helping clients modernize identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID. This includes enabling secure access through MFA, SSO, passwordless authentication, and identity modernization across cloud and hybrid environments. This role operates within Avanade's Security and Infrastructure practices and works closely with client IT and security teams to deliver identity solutions aligned to business and security outcomes.
The Digital Identity Manager (Entra ID) is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting modern identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID. The role helps clients strengthen security, improve user experience, and modernize authentication and access patterns through MFA, SSO, conditional access, and passwordless strategies.
This is a client-facing role that requires strong technical expertise combined with consulting and communication skills. The role contributes to delivery excellence while supporting Avanade's identity practice growth and alignment with Microsoft security strategies.
The Manager will be hands on in designing and implementing Microsoft Entra ID solutions including:
• Single Sign On (SSO)
• Conditional Access
• Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Identity Governance and Access Reviews
• Lead IAM lifecycle processes such as joiner-mover-leaver (JML) automation, provisioning, and deprovisioning
• Support hybrid identity scenarios, including Entra ID Connect / hybrid sync and application provisioning (SCIM)
• Contribute to or lead Zero Trust identity architectures integrating Entra ID with broader Microsoft Security capabilities
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management or cybersecurity, including leadership of delivery workstreams or projects.
• 2+ years consulting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and identity governance.
Preferred Certifications
-SC 300 (Identity and Access Administrator)
-SC 100 (Cybersecurity Architect)
-SC 900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)
-Additional IAM or security certifications (e.g., CISSP, vendor IGA tools) are a plus.
