As part of our Sentinel Pilot Car Services team, the Pilot Car Representative plays a key role in ensuring the safe movement of over-dimensional freight across the country.

What You’ll Do
- Secure and schedule certified independent pilot car drivers to escort oversized loads, negotiating competitive and market-aligned rates.
- Communicate route details and logistics clearly to both truck drivers and pilot car drivers to ensure seamless, on-time execution.
- Verify pilot car invoices for accuracy and ensure timely payment processing.
- Address and resolve service failures, safety concerns, communication gaps, and payment questions.
- Provide limited after-hours support as needed via company-issued phone.
What You’ll Bring
- Higher education and/or 2+ years of work experience in customer service, transportation, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of sales, marketing, and customer service fundamentals.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected events.
- Collaborative working style with a team-first mentality.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities at once.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Total cash compensation range of this position is $50,000 to $65,000+ which includes a base salary range starting at $45,000 - $52,500+ plus position-specific incentive. Base salary offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
