About Pilots To The Rescue

Pilots To The Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to prevent at‑risk animals from being euthanized by transporting them via air and ground transportation to give them the best chance at adoption. Over the past 10 years, we have saved more than 6,000 animals through partnerships with over 100 shelters across the country…and we're just getting started! Based in Brooklyn, our small but mighty team at Pilots To The Rescue hails from all walks of life: aviation, hospitality, philanthropy, tech, and business administration. What brings us together is our love for animals.

Position Overview

Pilots To The Rescue is seeking a Director of Transport Operations to lead and scale the organization’s national animal rescue transport network. This leadership role oversees a complex transport system that includes aircraft, ground transport vehicles, volunteer pilots, professional drivers, and mission coordinators operating across the United States. The Director ensures the safe and efficient movement of animals from overcrowded shelters and disaster zones to receiving shelters and rescue partners. This position blends aviation coordination, fleet management, logistics leadership, and nonprofit mission impact, offering a unique opportunity to apply operational expertise to a cause that directly saves furry lives.
