Job description

BallenIsles Country Club is seeking a part-time Fitness Attendant for private club fitness center. Responsibilities include greeting members and assisting with fitness center needs, answers phones and member inquiries, schedule training and other appointments, perform minor custodial duties such as wiping fitness equipment and perform opening duties as needed.


Essential Duties:

̈ Greets guests upon arrival and departure to fitness center.

̈ Checks member identification card and validates guest participation.

̈ Signs in members and guests, advising them of rules and procedures of the fitness center.

̈ Reports safety concerns to supervisor.

̈ Adjusts music and/or television equipment as needed.

̈ Performs minor custodial duties to include wiping down machines, picking up discarded items, empty trash, restock towels etc.

̈ Helps to keep fitness center neat and tidy.

̈ Performs opening and closing duties at fitness center as required.

̈ Answers phones and guest inquiries, schedules personal training sessions.

̈ Assist Health & Wellness Director and provides basic instruction to equipment users.

̈ Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

̈ Regular, flexible and reliable attendance.

̈ Performs other duties as required.


Requirements:

̈ Must possess familiarity and understanding of fitness equipment.

̈ The ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job.

̈ Must be member service-oriented and possess a professional manner.

̈ Computer Knowledge.

̈ CPR Certification preferred.

̈ Interest in fitness, required.

̈ Previous experience preferred.
