Filevine is a Legal AI company delivering Legal Operating Intelligence for the future of legal work. Grounded in a singular system of truth, Filevine brings together data, documents, workflows, and teams into one unified platform-where modern legal work happens with clarity and consistency.
Powered by LOIS, the Legal Operating Intelligence System, Filevine connects context across every matter to transform legal operations from reactive to proactive. Fueled by a team of exceptional collaborators and innovators, Filevine's rapid growth has earned AI awards and recognition from Deloitte and Inc. as one of the most innovative and fastest-growing technology companies in the country.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior Motion Graphics Designer to own and elevate Filevine's motion design craft from brand campaigns and product launches to social content and executive presentations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a designer who thinks in motion and leads with creative vision.
You'll work closely with brand designers, video producers, content strategists, and marketing leadership to shape how the Filevine brand moves. You'll also help maintain the standards and systems that keep our motion work cohesive, scalable, and unmistakably ours.
What You'll Do
  • Design and produce high-quality motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for marketing campaigns, product explainer videos, social media, digital ads, event content, and executive presentations.
  • Lead motion design projects from concept through final delivery, managing timelines, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and maintaining quality at every stage.
  • Collaborate with brand designers, video producers, content strategists, and marketing teams to develop cohesive visual narratives that reflect the Filevine brand.
  • Build and evolve Filevine's motion design system, including animation principles, reusable templates, and usage guidelines that scale across the organization.
  • Mentor and provide creative direction to junior designers on animation craft, workflow best practices, and motion design fundamentals.
  • Partner with external production teams on editing, color grading, sound design integration, and visual effects for long-form content.
  • Optimize deliverables for multiple formats and platforms: social, web, broadcast, and internal presentations, ensuring technical specs and brand standards are always met.
  • Stay ahead of trends in motion design, emerging tools, and AI-assisted workflows, bringing fresh thinking and experimentation to the creative team.

What We're Looking For
Required
  • 8+ years of professional motion design experience in a tech company, creative agency, or in-house creative team, with a portfolio that shows serious range.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Deep understanding of animation principles, motion theory, typography in motion, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Demonstrated experience working within brand systems and the ability to evolve motion guidelines without losing brand coherence.
  • Strong project management skills. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously, self-direct, and hit deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present and defend creative decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach and genuine enthusiasm for the craft of motion design.

Bonus Points
  • Proficiency in Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D tools for titles, product visualizations, or abstract brand animation.
  • Experience with character animation, illustration-based animation, or kinetic typography.
  • Familiarity with Figma for cross-functional collaboration with product and brand designers.
  • Experience at a B2B SaaS or legal tech company.
  • Hands-on video production experience (lighting, camera operation, on-set direction).
  • Comfort working with or exploring AI-assisted creative tools (e.g., Runway, Pika, Calvary etc.).
