Job description

Mid-Sized General Contracting Firm is seeking an experienced Construction Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience.
Our firm specializes in high-end residential and hospitality renovations. Past and current projects include restaurants at Hudson Yards, Pier 17, boutique Hotel renovations, landmarked full gut townhouse renovations, and residential condominium renovations.

Please note that this is an in-person role.
Successful candidate may be subject to a background check.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain project documentation (Control Documents).
  • Assist with the preparation and proofing of project deliverables.
  • Oversee the coordination of project team meetings.
  • Prepare project management reports.
  • Build and maintain excellent client/designer/subcontractor relationships.
  • Track and report project progress.
  • Trade buyout/award process oversight.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years in construction related experience.
  • Must have time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in building construction schedules and understanding of sequencing from beginning to end.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficient with MS Office Software including Projects & Excel.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe.
  • General Understanding of AIA Contract Documents.
