Southwest Central Georgia Region:  Piedmont Fayetteville Hospital, Piedmont Newnan Hospital, Piedmont Henry Hospital and I-85 / I-75 south corridor

***The successful candidate will be based out of the location in the above region that is most convenient.***


JOB PURPOSE:


This position is a customer-service oriented individual who provides frontline support for radiologists, technologists, and imaging operations. This role facilitates timely resolution of imaging-related issues, rounds regularly at assigned hospitals, and serves as the first point of contact for imaging technology support (e.g. PACS, Epic, Powerscribe), including remote and after-hours support by phone, and may include remotely accessing devices to identify and resolve issues. Specialist(s) require a thorough understanding of the workflow processes and relationships between ancillary systems and RIS/PACS. This position includes the assurance of proper staff training, daily data and system maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster planning.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates degree or higher.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in imaging or information systems department(s).
 

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
•IT and/or technical expertise in PACS system(s) preferred
•Experience in imaging software and report writing are preferred. Extensive training with medical IS applications.
•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
•Working knowledge of imaging technology and information systems.
•Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
•Continuous learning mindset to stay current with advancements in the imaging technology field.
