Job description

The Warehouse Associate I supports daily warehouse operations by performing basic material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory tasks. This role requires execution of standard warehouse tasks under supervision, learning processes, safety, and systems. These responsibilities will support the development and accomplishment of Packer Fastener's strategy and vision while promoting our company Swagger.
Primary Duties:
  • Accurately fills customer orders following established operational processes.
  • Determines type of order, correlating priority, and any special requirements needed.
  • Able to use various tools to complete orders such as a scan gun, scale, knife, tape gun, and stapler.
  • Collaborates with receiving and shipping areas to ensure seamless distribution center processes.
  • Communicates all discrepancies with affected sales representative and appropriate Leaders or Warehouse Associate II.
  • Duties may include order fulfillment, packing, shipping, kitting assembly, receiving
  • Performs standard warehouse duties (picking, packing, receiving, shipping)
  • Escalates issues, discrepancies, or equipment problems to a Leader
  • Works under direct supervision with routine check-ins
  • Safely operates all warehouse equipment and obeys all safety rules.
  • Helps maintain accurate distribution center inventory quantity and quality while pulling product; restocks order fulfillment supplies as needed.
  • Follows all housekeeping procedures; maintains clean and organized warehouse.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

Job Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to obtain coverage through company's auto insurance carrier according to company Driver Safety Policy.
  • Must be willing/able to obtain valid forklift certification issued by Packer Fastener
  • Familiarity of delivery territory
  • Must have the ability to quickly learn specific software to successfully fulfill order fulfillment expectations -NetSuite hardware/software.
  • Must make safety a priority.
  • Must be a highly detailed individual with a focus on accuracy.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a well-organized team player who can relate to employees at all levels of an organization.
  • Must be able to routinely handle and lift object(s) up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to participate in frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
  • Must have basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
