Job description

Position Summary
The Operations Associate is a cross-functional, entry-level role supporting daily operations at our third-party logistics (3PL) facility. This position blends hands-on warehouse support, system and user account administration, process documentation, and general office and administrative work.
Success in this role depends on flexibility, follow-through, and a willingness to take on whatever the operation requires on a given day.
Key ResponsiblitiesWarehouse & Operational Support
  • Complete general warehouse tasks as assigned, including staging, consolidation, relabeling, cycle count support, and inventory moves
  • Support receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping functions during high-volume periods
  • Assist with facility organization, housekeeping, and 5S upkeep in racking, staging, and dock areas
  • Maintain organization of packaging supplies, consumables, and shipping materials; flag reorder needs
  • Support special projects such as kitting, rework, returns processing, and client-specific packaging requests
  • Escalate safety hazards, damaged product, or equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor
Systems & User Account Administration
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts across company systems, including email, warehouse management system (WMS), and other operational platforms
  • Execute onboarding access provisioning for new hires and offboarding access removal for departing employees within defined SLA timelines
  • Maintain accurate records of active users, permission levels, and access changes
  • Assist employees with basic account issues such as password resets, login troubleshooting, and access requests
  • Support setup and inventory of workstations, scanners, printers, label printers, and other operational hardware
  • Coordinate with IT vendors or internal technical resources on issues beyond first-line support
  • Follow established access control and data handling procedures to protect client and company information
Reporting, Documentation & Analysis
  • Maintain and update recurring operational reports and trackers in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Pull and organize data from the WMS to support volume, cycle time, and productivity reporting
  • Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation
  • Identify recurring inefficiencies or data quality issues and surface them to management with supporting detail
Office & Administrative Support
  • Maintain office supplies, common areas, and break room inventory
  • Support document management, filing, scanning, and record retention
  • Receive and route incoming mail, packages, and visitor traffic
  • Support scheduling, meeting setup, and internal communications as requested
  • Assist management with ad-hoc administrative projects and tasks as assigned

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree (any field; supply chain, business, logistics, or information systems preferred)
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • "Common sense" problem solving approach
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, particularly when handling account access and data entry
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently
  • Willingness to perform physical warehouse work as part of the regular workday
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee and client information with discretion

Preferred
  • Internship or work experience in logistics, distribution, e-commerce, or operations

  • Forklift or powered industrial equipment certification, or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally
