Aerotek is hiring IMMEDIATELY for Warehouse Picker/Packers on 1st and 2nd shift in Newark, DE.

Job Description

The Warehouse Picker/Packer plays a key role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations by handling inventory, preparing shipments, managing returns, and supporting multiple functional areas within the facility. You will work with tablets, scanners, and printers while performing physically demanding tasks that include repetitive lifting of cartons weighing between 5 and 50 pounds throughout the entire shift. This position goes beyond standard picking and packing duties and requires a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and adherence to company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to established procedures.
  • Receive incoming goods, verify quantities and conditions, and ensure proper documentation and storage.
  • Assemble components and products as required to complete orders or prepare items for shipment.
  • Use tablets, RF scanners, and internal software platforms to process product intake, track inventory, and manage returns.
  • Utilize updated systems and tools to streamline and document product intake and return processes.
  • Assist across multiple departments or warehouse zones based on operational needs and staffing requirements.
  • Conduct regular inventory verification using handheld devices and internal systems to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Notify supervisors or team leads upon completion of assigned tasks and seek clarification when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following end-of-day cleaning and organization procedures.
  • Ensure all scheduled orders are picked, packed, and finalized before the end of each shift.
  • Perform material handling tasks such as loading and unloading, palletizing, and moving products using pallet jacks or forklifts if trained and authorized.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments, labeling packages, and staging orders for dispatch.
  • Perform data entry related to inventory control, order status, and shipping and receiving activities.
  • Rotate through various warehouse sections, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control, as directed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50/hr.
