SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Directs and coordinates supervision of every aspect of the Warehouse Operations; responsible for purchasing/leasing materials and equipment used by employees in their daily activities and actions that will improve the accuracy and efficiency of service to Imperial customers as well as maintaining all facilities associated with the Distribution Center;

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the functions of a Warehouse Manager, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description.

  • Responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of employees including, but not limited to, interviewing, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving issues;
  • Oversee all warehouse employees and oversee daily operations;
  • Maintains warehouse staffing, payroll, production rates, training and retention;
  • Manage all maintenance, company vehicles, building and equipment;
  • Manage and control all product and supply inventory;
  • Enforce all company polices, rules and regulations;
  • Manages all inventory, error reporting while following up on all processes with supervisors and ensuring timely responses;
  • Ensure all processes are adhered to, followed and/or create such processes that increase overall accuracy and efficiency;
  • Performs above listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information to subordinate as needed effectively;


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts the interviewing process for potential employees; participates in the hiring and firing process; disciplines and commends employees accordingly; handles employee complaints; evaluates employee job performance; directs the employee performance planning process and sets job expectations in order to establish obtainable goals; directly supervises 10 (+/–) exempt employees; assesses and evaluated the overall performance of warehouse operation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands of this job include light physical activity performing light strenuous activities of an administrative, productive and/or technical nature that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle or feel and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to perform the physical duties of a cigarette or other stamper as the employee may be required to assist when needed. The employee must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions. The employee must occasionally work in wet humid conditions and with the risk of electrical shock. The noise level of the work environment is usually loud.
