What Does a Picker/Packer Do?

Picker packers find and collect merchandise in a warehouse and prepare the items for shipment to customers. As a picker packer, you use a computer or scanner to check inventory and locate items. You load items onto dollies or conveyer belts to move them throughout the distribution center, and then you assemble packages for shipping. The qualifications for picker packer jobs are physical strength and stamina, a strong work ethic, and excellent teamwork skills. With experience, you can move into team leader roles with more responsibilities.

What are some common challenges Picker Packers face and how can they be managed effectively?

Many warehouses provide training and ergonomic equipment to help team members work efficiently and safely. Building good communication with supervisors and co-workers can also help address issues quickly and maintain a positive workflow.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Picker Packer, and why are they important?
