BASIC FUNCTION

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and products within the warehouse. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely fulfillment of customer and internal orders, and compliance with company safety and operational standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Load and unload trucks safely using appropriate equipment and procedures.
  • Record and track materials received and distributed using logistics software.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes.
  • Mark and label materials using appropriate identification methods.

Order Fulfillment and Distribution

  • Read and interpret customer orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine required items.
  • Pull, pack, and stage orders for shipment or internal distribution.
  • Assemble customer orders and prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx, or other carriers.
  • Prepare parcels and complete all required shipping documentation.

Warehouse Operations

  • Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established procedures.
  • Open boxes, crates, and containers as needed to process incoming goods.
  • Maintain supply inventory using logistics software platforms (SAP experience preferred).
  • Complete requisition forms for internal supply orders and coordinate replacements with manager approval.
