Job description

JOB SCOPE: The Warehouse Loader is to be proficient in accurately organizing and loading finished product orders, damage free, with forklifts and trailer spotting equipment. Loaders are responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting concerns.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is primarily performed indoors near operating equipment, loud noises, and loose particles. Work performed requires employees to operate in all different temperatures and with extended standing and sitting time. Employees are required to wear a bump cap, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses at all times.
Schedule: 6pm - 6:25am Nights - 12hr Shifts, Bi-Weekly Rotating Shifts, Weekends
Training Schedule: Morning Shift - Monday - Friday (Once training has been completed will be transferred to 12hr shifts nights)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand and perform various loading procedures for all types of shipments and materials.
  • Follow protocols for using and operating IFS scanners, filling out load sheets, weight tickets, etc.
  • Ensure to load only damage-free product, providing the best of quality to our customers, while addressing any damaged product.
  • Check truck drivers in and out of the facility in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Support and assist production staff as needed.
  • Practice First-In-First-Out finished product, inventory management system.
  • Stage mixed and partial pallets for upcoming shipments and communicate statuses to staff.
  • Perform daily inspections on loading dock equipment and trailer spotting equipment.
  • Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP's, and HACCP.
  • Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation.
  • Keep work area clean and maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule.
  • Report all safety violations to the supervisor immediately and follow all safety protocols and procedures, as well as always wearing required PPE.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must hold a valid CA driver's license.
  • 2yrs + experience driving a sit-down forklift
  • Understanding of RF Scanning and warehouse logistics loading and unloading
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug screen, background check, and physical.)
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, easily get on and off forklifts, and climb ladders.
