What is a picker associate?

A Picker Associate is a warehouse worker responsible for locating, selecting, and preparing items for customer orders. They use pick lists or handheld scanners to identify items, retrieve them from shelves, and ensure the correct quantity and quality before packaging. Picker Associates play a crucial role in the supply chain, helping to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. They may also assist with inventory management and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

What are some common challenges picker associates face, and how can they be managed effectively?

Picker Associates often work in fast-paced warehouse environments where meeting daily productivity targets and maintaining accuracy can be challenging. Navigating large storage areas, adapting to shifting inventory organization, and managing the physical demands of standing or walking for extended periods require good time management and attention to detail.
