Job description


Summary:
The warehouse assistant is responsible for loading, unloading & staging all items delivered to and shipped from the Trendsetter facility. The warehouse assistant will also assist with receiving/inventory processes as directed and maintain warehouse cleanliness throughout the shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklift and other heavy equipment to load/unload trucks.
  • Stage newly received items in quarantine area to be quality checked.
  • Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with verifying, documenting, and tagging received items.
  • Assist Shipping & Receiving Inventory Coordinator with moving items from quarantine area to inventory & job kitting locations.
  • Remove pallets, boxes, and trash from the warehouse daily.
  • Sweep warehouse daily
  • Monitor warehouse consumables weekly
  • Promote safety awareness and complies with all applicable safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of safety standards.
  • Be familiar with Company HSE policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to demonstrate strong decision-making skills, initiative, and assertiveness
  • Must be able to operate a forklift of various sizes.

Duties:
  • Stock and organize inventory in the warehouse
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other mechanical equipment
  • Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate records
  • Operate warehouse machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse machinery and equipment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
