About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Forklift / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support warehouse and manufacturing operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining efficient material flow, and supporting production requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely while handling materials and inventory transactions.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately receive inbound materials by verifying quantities, condition, and product information against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to supervision.
  • Ensure inventory system transactions accurately reflect physical material movements.
  • Prepare and stage materials for storage and inventory locations.
  • Put away received materials into designated storage locations.
  • Pick materials for shop orders and replenish Kanban inventory locations.
  • Pick customer orders and prepare shipments for delivery.
  • Package products to ensure accuracy and prevent shipping damage.
  • Read and interpret:
    • Packing lists
    • Pick lists
    • Shop orders
    • Shipping documentation
  • Verify order numbers, part numbers, and quantities.
  • Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and material variances.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
  • Follow all company safety, security, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Support 6S and workplace organization initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with other warehouse and inventory duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to read packing lists, pick lists, shipping documents, and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn company-specific software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport materials as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Shipping and Receiving operations.
  • Experience with inventory control and warehouse management systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Demand Flow Technology (DFT) manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Kanban replenishment processes.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management software.
