Job Description
We are seeking a skilled healthcare professional with infusion experience for home healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in skilled home care, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a home setting.
Required Skills
  • Infusion experience
  • Skilled home care experience (not limited to private duty nursing)
  • Home health experience with OASIS training and experience
  • IV skills and wound care expertise
  • Knowledge of general medical diagnoses and high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure (HF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), myocardial infarction (MI), pneumonia, and stroke
  • Post-operative care

Unit Information
In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Conducting cardiopulmonary assessments
  • Providing basic wound care and handling ABI compression dressings
  • Managing wound vac dressings
  • Performing Pleurx and Aseptic drain care
  • Changing and caring for Foley catheters
  • Removing staples and sutures
  • Utilizing glucometers and pro-time machines
  • Administering subcutaneous (SQ) and intramuscular (IM) injections
  • Performing lab draws and venipuncture
  • Executing PICC line or Midline care, dressing changes, and port access/deaccess
Home Healthcare Environment
This position involves skilled home visits for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial insurance patients, with an expected daily visit count of 6-8. The hours can vary based on the needs of the home care office.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for home visits
  • COVID-19 vaccinated or exemption form on file
  • Flu shot required, with mandatory mask wearing while at work
  • Must have recent patient care experience within the last 3 months

Additional Information
Compliance documentation is required two Fridays before the Monday start date. This role is located in Florida.
This is a smoke-free facility. Candidates must have the ability to float to nearby hospitals and facilities, as needed.
