Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified PICC Line Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing PICC line insertions, ensuring proper placement, and providing exceptional patient care throughout the process. As a vital member of our medical team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform PICC line insertions utilizing ultrasound guidance and sterile technique.
2. Assess patient suitability for PICC line placement and obtain informed consent.
3. Select appropriate PICC line size and type based on patient needs and clinical indication.
4. Educate patients and caregivers on PICC line care, maintenance, and potential complications.
5. Monitor and evaluate PICC line function, assessing for signs of infection, occlusion, or other complications.
6. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
