Job Responsibilities:

A PIC (Person in Charge) is responsible for the overall shift operations, sales performance and execution of brand excellence in a store in the absence of the Assistant Manager and/or General Manager. PIC's typically supervise a staff of 1 to 8 team members and carry out management responsibilities consistent with Jimmy John's policies, procedures and legal requirements.

Essential Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Lead and manage shifts while acting as manager in charge of the store. Deploy team members as required to meet business demands and make necessary staffing decisions.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective shift operations.
  • Work the line. Perform all tasks related to Jimmy John's operational standards. Be able to effectively work and act as a role model at each station in the store.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered on every shift.
  • Follow all food safety, cash handling and operations procedures and policies.
  • Ensure proper financial accountability during each shift.
  • Delegation. Clearly and comfortably delegates both routine and important tasks and decisions.
  • Create an environment in which Team Members are motivated to do their best.
