Job description

Share your excitement of aviation with the next generation of aircraft mechanics! PIA's Myrtle Beach campus is hiring for a fulfilling Aviation Maintenance Instructor position that allows you to give back while enjoying great daytime hours and no weekend commitments! Teaching experience is a plus, but not required, as we will provide instructional training.

Salary: Starting at $60,000

Schedule: Regular hours

  • Monday-Thursday 7:00am to 3:50pm
  • Friday 7:30am to 11:30am

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Requirements:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A amp;P) Certification
  • 3+ years of verifiable aviation industry or military aviation experience
  • We provide training for new faculty members, so teaching experience is ideal, but not required.
  • Familiarization with computers for using teaching software and email.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct classroom presentations; guide students in the laboratory for hands-on instruction and practice; manage laboratory equipment and inventory; and evaluate student performance. A full job description will be provided during the interview process.
