Assist with Physics and Astronomy labs, workshops, and observatory sessions.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at UWG with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Must have completed one of the following:
    Physics 1111L, 11112L, 2211L, 2212L, ASTR 2313, ASTR 2313L

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
  • May require some lifting (~ 20 pounds, Observatory), bending or kneeling.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory or outdoor observatory setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed Phys 2211L, Phys 2212L, and ASTR 2313L

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Must be punctual and organized.
  • Strong communication skills for student support and lab instruction.
  • Knowledge of the lab experiments, lecture material, or observatory equipment.
  • Student will be trained in their selected role.
