Setting: Private Practice, Outpatient
Who Can Apply:
  • Prior experience in an Outpatient Radiation Therapy setting preferred
  • Registration as a Radiation Therapist with AART, and licensed in the State of South Carolina

Ideal Candidate:
  • Technically competent in all areas of Radiation Therapy and possesses comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiation therapy modalities and techniques
  • Knowledgable of Radiation Therapy and associated allied healthcare services
  • Strong empathy, interpersonal, and communicative skills
  • Travel between Myrtle Beach and Conway clinic locations required

About the Role
Coastal Cancer Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist who takes pride in delivering precise, consistent treatment while helping patients feel informed and supported throughout their care. In this role, you will work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and a collaborative clinical team to ensure treatments are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently, with strong attention to detail and patient comfort. You'll also play an important part in keeping daily operations running smoothly by maintaining equipment readiness, supporting quality checks, and completing documentation in a timely manner.
Responsibilities Include:
• Deliver external beam radiation therapy treatments as prescribed, following established procedures and safety standards.
• Review prescriptions and treatment charts, verify patient identity using approved identifiers, and confirm consent is documented before treatment.
• Perform treatment setup and positioning using appropriate immobilization and imaging procedures to confirm accurate alignment.
• Observe and support patients during treatment, document tolerance, and escalate unusual reactions or concerns to the physician or nurse.
• Complete treatment charges and documentation in the Aria EMR and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Perform routine equipment quality assurance, troubleshoot machine issues, and complete proper machine start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked treatment area and conduct monthly checks for expired supplies.
• Communicate clearly with patients and coordinate effectively with physicians and therapy, physics, and dosimetry teams to keep care on track.
