Job description

Job Summary:
Delta Solutions and Strategies is looking to hire an Algorithms Engineer in the Colorado Springs, CO area. The role involves analyzing data streams, reviewing algorithms, and collaborating with various teams to integrate new data into existing systems.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze new data streams and data formats for different sensor messages to determine integration requirements into an existing operational system.
• Review a library of approved algorithms and identify which can be applied to process new data streams.
• Determine gaps in existing approved algorithms and clearly articulate functional needs to inform new algorithm development.
• Identify relevant data fields within new message formats for downstream processing, fusion, and analysis.
• Perform pattern analysis across messages to assess data consistency, quality, and reliability.
• Document findings, create interface control documents, and collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and system engineers to implement messages into custom software.
• Support testing and validation of new data stream integrations in operational environments.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Perform other tasks as directed
Qualifications:
Required:
• Security Clearance: Secret clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI
• Bachelor’s degree in physics or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in algorithms development, data processing, or signal/data analysis
• Experience analyzing large data sets
• Familiarity with MATLAB, C#
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical findings clearly
• Knowledge of algorithms surrounding ballistic and non-ballistic flight paths
Preferred:
• Familiarity with C++ or other object-oriented languages
