Job description

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Signature/Data Analyst to support MDA. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Support the development, integration, analysis, and documentation of target analysis products for pre-mission and post-mission activities for all MDA Flight Tests.

  • Plan test activities and provide recommendations for team assignments to support mission activities.

  • Contribute to development of Target Vehicle notional trajectories, flight scenarios, and debris scenes.

  • Deploy for test missions and develop data analysis products such as Target Best Estimated Trajectory (BET), Target Quick-look Brief, and Target Launch Time within the required 24-hour (quick-look) timeframe, ensuring accuracy of data products.

  • Participate in target development and test planning activities such as Target System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Target and Test Readiness Reviews, providing analysis and recommendations.

  • Prepare technical reports and/or briefings on various technical aspects of Flight Test Targets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 12+ years of experience.

  • Experience in a minimum of 2 of the following areas: trajectory/kinematic simulation, EO/IR sensor exploitation, RF sensor exploitation, geodesy.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well alone and with a team.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.

  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or Physics highly desired.

  • M.S. in Engineering or Physics.

  • Experience working independently and/or leading sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Skilled in use of Matlab, and TAOS software.

  • Familiar with STK software.

  • Experience with missiles, targets, missile defense systems, or hypersonic weapons.
