Aligning with the purpose of Southlake Health of building health communities, SRCC is to provide advanced radiation treatment to patients in the region, bringing state-of-the-art treatment technology close to home. Equipment in the Radiation Medicine Program includes 3 Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators and 2 Elekta Harmony linear accelerators, a Philips big-bore CT simulator, a Siemens PET/CT, RayStation treatment planning system and MosaiQ ROIS. This was a result of a major refresh and expansion capital project in the past four years, which included adding a new linear accelerator and replacing three linear accelerators. In the coming year one more linear accelerator will be replaced by the Elekta Evo.

The successful individual will be part of a team of 6 physicists, 2 physics associates, 3 accelerator service technologists, 2 physics system analyst and 1 physics resident. Under the direction and guidance of staff physicists, the individual is expected to perform various activities in quality assurance of radiotherapy machines and patient treatment planning, commissioning of equipment, calibration of equipment and devices, documentation, and participation in development of new treatment techniques.

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Science, Engineering or an equivalent
• Two years of relevant work experience in Medical Physics, applied science or another related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills,
• Willingness to do shift work
