Introduction to the job
As an Opto-Mechanical Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver advanced modules and tools that enable next-generation optically enhanced performance in our e-beam systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you will ensure solutions meet system performance, cost, and schedule requirements while supporting scalable, serviceable products.
This role spans hands-on engineering through technical leadership-owning complex module development, driving roadmap direction, and ensuring seamless system-level integration across current and future technologies.
Role and responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end technical delivery for module performance and major project scope
  • Lead design, integration, and realization of complex opto-mechanical systems
  • Make and guide technical trade-offs across sub-modules and system interfaces
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in complex environments
  • Shape multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for your domain
  • Ensure system integration, validation, and delivery across multiple designs

Education and experience
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant engineering field
  • 10+ years of industry experience in optics, lasers, and opto-mechanical or related domains

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$177,000-265,500
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
