Job description

Job Opportunity: Medical Physicist

Our organization is actively seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Physicist to become a part of our vibrant faculty at the main campus within the Department of Radiation Oncology. This is a full-time faculty role, with academic rank and salary aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of nine medical physicists, engaging in clinical duties across our network, including brachytherapy, SRS/SBRT, TBI, and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to clinical excellence, educational initiatives, and independent research within a supportive academic setting.
  • Teach physics to medical residents, medical physics residents, and graduate students at the MS level.
  • Develop and lead independent research projects.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified (or Board Eligible) with a PhD in Medical Physics or a related discipline.
  • Strong clinical experience in Radiation Oncology Physics.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working Environment

Our Radiation Oncology Department boasts cutting-edge treatment technology and a wide array of clinical and academic resources, including:

  • Advanced Equipment: 3 Varian TrueBeams, 1 Varian Edge, 1 Varian Ethos, 3 CT simulators, Aria/Eclipse/Ethos systems, Elekta Flexitron, and Zeiss Intrabeam.
  • Comprehensive Services: SRS, SBRT, HDR, TBI, IORT, hyperthermia, and Online Adaptive RT.
  • Dynamic Team: Comprising 6 faculty physicists, 3 clinical physicists, 1 physicist-scientist, 6 dosimetrists, and 2 medical physics residents.
  • Academic Excellence: A robust research environment that fosters collaboration, mentorship, and innovation.
