This position is based onsite at our outpatient office located in Riverside, California. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and the specific needs of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety, while utilizing modalities such as massage, stretching, and functional training techniques to facilitate healing.
• Monitor patient progress by observing their performance during therapy sessions, documenting findings accurately, and reporting any changes in condition to supervising physical therapists.
• Utilize assistive devices, including walkers and braces, to enhance patient mobility and independence, while educating patients on their proper use in daily activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity, with direct communication to physical therapists regarding patient status and treatment responses.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families about home exercises, post-treatment guidelines, and lifestyle modifications that can aid recovery and promote long-term health.
• Participate in mentoring and training junior staff and interns, sharing knowledge and expertise in clinical methodologies and patient engagement techniques.
• Engage in continuous professional development through attending workshops and pursuing additional certifications, enhancing clinical skills to better serve patients.

The primary patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries such as total joint replacements, sports-related injuries, and those with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Providing personalized care, you will cater to the unique needs of a diverse group, including young athletes, active adults, and older adults, aiming to restore function and improve mobility through exceptional rehabilitative services.

• Must be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program.
• Possess a current California Physical Therapist Assistant license and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy.
• Minimum two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and patient care standards.
• Proficient in documentation and reporting, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, where you have successfully tailored treatment plans.
• Familiarity with a variety of rehabilitation equipment and therapeutic approaches, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
