Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Manzano by PureHealth in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and contribute to the assessment, intervention, and treatment of patients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Physical Therapist in assessing patients and contributing to the development of treatment plans

  • Provide physical therapy interventions, including exercises, modalities, and other treatments, as directed by the Physical Therapist

  • Document patient information, including charges, progress notes, and other reports, in a timely and accurate manner

  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, and provide patient instruction and education

  • Communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care

  • Maintain productivity expectations and advance patient care throughout the therapy stay

  • Refer patients to Manzano by PureHealth's Outpatient Department as necessary

Work Environment:

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
