The studio focuses on delivering creative, polished work that reflects each client’s unique vision. Services may include portraits, events, commercial shoots, and lifestyle photography. Team members are encouraged to bring their artistic perspective while maintaining strong client service and reliability. The studio values collaboration, professionalism, and consistent attention to detail in every project.

Role Description This part-time/seasonal Traveling School Freelance Photographer role is an on-site position based in Charlotte, NC office. This position entails traveling to various schools in NC and Va.

The photographer will plan and execute photo shoots, including setting up equipment, choosing locations, and directing subjects to achieve the desired look and feel. Daily tasks include capturing high-quality images, managing lighting and composition, and reviewing shots with clients to ensure expectations are met. The role also involves basic post-processing, organizing and delivering digital files, and maintaining clear communication with clients(schools) and studio staff. The photographer is expected to manage their schedule responsibly, arrive prepared for each shoot, and uphold professional standards on-site.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical photography skills, including proficiency with cameras, lenses, lighting, and studio equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability in composition, posing, and visual storytelling across portraits.

Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and direct subjects comfortably.

  • Reliable time management, organization, and attention to detail, including backing up and cataloging image files.
  • Ability to work on-site in NC, schools and occasional travel to Virginia schools.
  • Prior professional photography experience or a portfolio that demonstrates high-quality work in relevant styles is a plus.
  • Must have Canon DSLR camera & lens along w/studio lights, valid driver’s license and access to transportation to travel to schools in various locations as needed.
