About the Role

Are you a creative storyteller with a camera in hand and a passion for working with kids? Camp Interlaken is looking for a dynamic Photography Specialist to capture the magic of the summer! Located in beautiful Eagle River, Wisconsin, this is a fully residential position where you will live, work, and build an incredible community on-site June - August 16th.

Steve & Shari Sadek Family Camp Interlaken JCC provides a vibrant Jewish camp community where summer memories and lifelong friendships are made. In this role, you will be the visual voice of our community, documenting daily adventures, teaching campers the art of photography, and leading a team to design the ultimate camp yearbook. If you love mentoring youth and spending your summer outdoors making memories last forever, we want you on our team!


What You’ll Do

  • Photograph daily camp activities, programming, and special events to showcase the vibrant camp culture.
  • Create and implement an engaging, skill-progressive photography curriculum for campers of various ages.
  • Daily select, edit, and upload high-quality photos to our website, social media, and password-protected CampMinder site for camp families.
  • Direct a creative team of campers and staff to design, organize, and complete the camp yearbook.
  • Maintain, inventory, and properly care for all photography equipment and supplies, ensuring safety protocols are followed during activities.


What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma required; coursework or a degree in Photography, Art, Design, Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in digital photography, DSLR/mirrorless camera operation, and photo editing software (Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop).
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a camp, school, or recreational setting. You must be a positive, energetic role model!
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines, manage gear inventory, and handle digital asset archiving. Experience with yearbook layout design is a big plus.
  • First Aid & CPR certification (preferred), strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to emergencies.
