About the Role
The Assistant Stylist supports the Styling team and On-Figure Photo Studio crew across Gap Inc. brands including Gap, Gap Factory, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory, and Athleta. This role is an essential partner to Stylists, Photographers, Art Directors, and studio teams in executing elevated on-figure imagery that supports brand storytelling and ecommerce needs.
The Assistant Stylist plays a critical role in preparing product, maintaining styling organization, supporting on-set execution, and ensuring a seamless daily studio workflow. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative production environment.What You'll Do
  • Support Stylists with daily on-set preparation and execution for on-figure photo shoots
  • Organize and prep styling racks, accessories, footwear, and wardrobe for daily shoots
  • Review shot lists, styling notes, and brand feedback within studio systems to help prioritize workflow and communicate updates to Stylists
  • Prepare dressing rooms and styling areas to ensure talent and crews are fully supported throughout the shoot day
  • Maintain styling standards and garment presentation through steaming, touch-ups, and organization during active shoots
  • Track shot progress and product movement accurately within internal production systems
  • Assist with styling piece management, organization, tagging, and returns across studio spaces
  • Maintain styling decks, presentation materials, and seasonal visual references for the Styling team
  • Attend team meetings, creative reviews, and workflow discussions as needed
  • Support Styling leadership and managers with special projects, studio initiatives, and process organization
  • Partner closely with cross-functional studio teams including Styling, Photography, Retouching, Production, and Sample Coordination
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient styling environment throughout the day
  • Support end-of-day wrap processes including rack transfers, styling organization, and dressing room reset
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of retail, styling, fashion, or photo studio experience preferred
  • Strong interest in fashion styling, creative production, and studio operations
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced studio environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working on-set and supporting multiple priorities throughout the day
