Job description

Amazon MGM Studios is the home for talent, creating and producing Original films and series for a global audience. Original series premiere exclusively on Prime Video, which is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios also produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and exclusively for Prime Video.
The Lead Photo Producer (LP) reports to the Head of Photo Production and is responsible for contributing to Original Movie and Series marketing campaigns by leading the vision and execution of comprehensive photo production strategies for our original content, managing complex productions from concept through delivery.
The LP oversees photo capture planning, budgeting and production of all photo related assets including unit photography and gallery shoots. They are also responsible for obtaining talent approvals and curating/delivering final photo key sets. The LP works hand-in-hand with the Creative Directors as well as Marketing Managers, Campaign Managers, Social Managers, PR and internal cross functional teams, and external agencies throughout the life of a marketing campaign to deliver high-level creative photography.
The LP is passionate about visual storytelling and well versed in photography production and post production and understands how all function within a global marketing campaign. They are versed in SAG and DGA rules and regulations and have experience communicating with talent reps and filmmakers within the entertainment industry. This role requires experience and comfort with multi-tasking, improvising, taking on new/evolving responsibilities and working on several projects/tasks at once. This role is based in Culver City, CA but travel will be required.
Key job responsibilities
Photography Production
• During pre-production, gather scripts, schedules, creative and relevant information for efficient production of photo capture
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect requests for on set production. Create shot lists for unit photographers
• Produce all photo shoots which includes hiring and recommending the appropriate photographer, crew, and/or production company to execute the creative vision of a given campaign.
• Work with filmmakers, unit publicists and talent reps to coordinate the capture of photography content while on set
• Produce large scale Gallery photo shoots for Key Art/One Sheets for marketing
Post Production
• Oversee all talent approvals on photography, pull frame grabs and create photography "Key" sets for internal and external stakeholders to use as the foundational assets for global campaigns
• Work with post production vendors to deliver final photography assets to partners
• Understand legalities of photography use - be familiar with Paid Ads requirements
• Be familiar with reading and understanding legal contracts, including understanding contractual advertising restraints
• Proactively work to problem solve and communicate to senior management, and actively seek clarification when there is ambiguity
• Work with senior leadership to create policies, procedures and best practices that impact the broader department
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team
- 8+ years in owning end to end photo strategy, capture, production and post.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working for an entertainment agency, studio, or organization
- Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote
- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
- Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
- Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
