Job description

What You'll Do:

This role combines technical production execution, cross-channel asset delivery, and brand quality assurance into a key operational function within the Creative team. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Production Designer is responsible for translating big creative concepts into accurate, on-brand, production-ready deliverables across print and digital platforms while building scalable file management, pre-press, and quality-control workflows that improve asset consistency, speed, and accuracy.

The ideal candidate is sharp, process-driven, and detail-obsessed, thriving in fast-paced environments where technical precision, proactive problem-solving, and flawless execution across variable formats are essential.

How You'll Do It:Digital Asset Production & Editing
  • Asset Scaling: Adapt, resize, and optimize high-converting creative concepts for digital assets, including web banners, email templates, paid social, and promotional graphics.
  • Photo Prep & Retouching: Perform light photo retouching, color correction, clipping path creation, and image cropping to maintain visual consistency across all product photography.
Packaging & Print Mechanicals
  • Print Prep: Create error-free, print-ready mechanicals (dielines, color proofs, spot colors/Pantones) for packaging, hangtags, apparel trims, retail signage, and collateral.
  • Pre-press & Technical Specs: Ensure all technical specs, visual tolerances, and print guidelines are strictly met before assets go to vendor production.
Brand Stewardship & Quality Control
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain strict adherence to visual brand guidelines across every customer touchpoint, ensuring typography, logo usage, color accuracy, and spacing are spot on.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous pre-flight checks on all digital and print files to eliminate typos, broken links, incorrect color profiles, or misaligned margins.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Team Execution: Partner closely with the Creative Director, Director of Creative Services, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, and Growth Marketers to execute high-volume tickets on tight campaign schedules.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional production design or graphic design experience, preferably in a fast-paced DTC, apparel, footwear, or lifestyle brand environment.
  • Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma. Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of digital file formats/compression, color spaces (RGB vs. CMYK vs. Pantone), print production processes, pre-flight, and dieline creation.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for design accuracy-you spot misaligned margins, kerning errors, and incorrect color profiles instantly.
  • Agility & Drive: Proven ability to manage high-volume production schedules without sacrificing quality, bringing grit and proactive problem-solving to a high-growth brand.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the work location (Wilmington, MA) 4x per week
