About the team and position

As an Associate Photo Specialist on the Photo Operations Team, you will apply your photography, DSLR, and problem-solving skills within a strategic design group dedicated to achieving "operational harmony." You will resolve daily platform and technology issues, track process failure trends, and review imagery to provide corrective feedback. Because quality photography relies heavily on intentional preparation, your role goes beyond the camera; you will actively design improved workflows, document new solutions, and participate in cross-collaborative projects to elevate the team's capabilities as the company scales!

What you'll be doing

  • Resolving daily photo team related issues with platforms and technology and ensure tickets are resolved on time to meet Carvana defined SLA
  • Reviewing photo imagery and providing corrective feedback when needed
  • Tracking process failure trends and providing solutions on how to improve
  • Facilitate in person and virtual training
  • Travel up to 60% to help set up and support installation of new studio environments, technology upgrades, or facilitate in person training
  • Cross-collaborating with supporting teams on projects or initiatives that elevate photo teams ability to capture quality photography
  • Be a part of designing new and improved ways to capture quality photography as we scale
  • Writing communication messages either to provide updates, feedback, best practices, documenting new processes, or presentations to support ongoing calls.
  • Document solutions to new problems and share them with the rest of the team
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and after hours work when needed

What you should have

  • Photography composition and lighting skills
  • Technical proficiency in DSLR camera operation
  • Tech-savvy with a quick learning curve for new systems and tools 
  • Skilled at translating complex ideas into simple instructions for training and documentation 
  • Foundational project management skills, including the ability to track timelines and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to be a part of a team but also work on projects independently
