Position Summary:
The Marketing & Operations Intern will support both the Marketing and Golf Operations teams at Loraloma Club and Thomas Ranch, contributing to initiatives that shape brand presence and member experience. This internship is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with an interest in marketing, hospitality, and golf operations.
The Marketing & Operations Intern will assist with marketing campaigns, conduct market research, support the management of social media accounts, and analyze marketing performance metrics. Responsibilities include creating content, coordinating events, and providing day-to-day administrative support to the marketing team.
Beyond marketing, they will gain exposure to golf operations and member experience, contributing to on-site activations, retail support, and overall club operations. This unique, cross-functional role offers a well-rounded experience at the intersection of luxury real estate, hospitality, and golf.
Interns at Loraloma can expect to work in a fast-paced, high-touch environment, collaborating closely with sales and marketing, golf operations, and membership experience teams. This internship is designed to build foundational skills in service excellence, "unreasonable hospitality," digital and content marketing, and brand development-providing meaningful, real-world experience in a dynamic and growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation
• Draft engaging social media posts, blog articles, and promotional content aligned with brand voice and standards
• Support storytelling efforts that highlight the lifestyle, amenities, and experiences at Thomas Ranch and Loraloma Club
• Capture on-site content (photo/video) showcasing golf, events, and member experiences
Market Research
• Conduct competitive analysis across real estate, golf, and hospitality industries
• Monitor industry trends to identify new marketing opportunities and audience engagement strategies
Social Media Management
• Assist in managing and scheduling content across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok)
• Engage with the online community and support campaign execution
• Identify and execute "in-the-moment" social media opportunities within golf operations
Data Analysis
• Track and analyze campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights
• Provide recommendations based on performance metrics and emerging trends
Event Coordination & Marketing
• Support planning and execution of marketing events, golf clinics, tournaments, and member experiences
• Assist with logistics, communications, and post-event follow-up
• Help promote golf events and programming through digital and on-site channels
Golf Operations Support
• Assist with member communication and on-course service delivery
• Provide support for day-to-day golf operations as needed
• Collaborate with the golf team to enhance the overall member and guest experience
Retail & Merchandising Support
• Assist with retail operations, including merchandising and sales support
• Promote retail offerings through in-person engagement and digital marketing efforts
Administrative Support
• Assist with scheduling, reporting, and coordination of daily marketing activities
• Maintain organized records of campaigns, creative assets, and performance data
Creative Support
• Help design marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
Ensure brand consistency across all deliverables
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must minimally meet these to be considered for the role.
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
2. Basic experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
3. Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation best practices
4. Prior experience in customer-facing roles and event coordination preferred
