Job Description:

NuWave LLC is looking to grow our business by adding a Graphic Designer to our team. The candidate is responsible for helping create designs solutions from packaging to marketing materials that better communicates to our customers. The desired candidate will have a desire to dive deep and show genuine interest into the world of Consumer Goods. This position requires a performance driven designer who is a self-directed and a self-motivated individual who works well in a team-based, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

This candidate will work role will work closely with the marketing, creative, and culinary team in order to support the accurate and timely delivery of all content deliverables, including manuals, product placement content, concepts for product development, and retail box design.

The leading candidate for this role is someone that is comfortable immersing themselves in a fast-pace environment and with a growing company. This position will play a significant role in our growth in our brand in both the retail sector, and the direct-to-consumer sales channel.

Position Overview:

  • Meet with other departments to determine the scope of a project in order to determine the message the design should portray
  • Assist in developing concepts for a wide-range of projects, including ads, direct mail campaigns, menus, concert posters, e-mail campaigns, social media postings, web banners and package design.
  • Create new design and photo concepts, maintaining a unified look across print and web pieces.
  • Collaborate with the Photography team to develop new image concepts.
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the other departments into the final design
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
  • Contribute innovative and creative ideas with the design team
  • Will need to be comfortable with photo retouching and editing
  • A strong visual, typography, color sense and awareness of design trends

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in packaging and branding
  • A portfolio that demonstrates creative design and conceptual thinking (candidates must submit portfolios)
  • A strong visual, typography, color sense and awareness of design trends
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in creating new layout, modifying existing layout with little or no supervision
  • Proficient in photo editing and manipulation
  • Take-charge attitude
  • The ability to take minimal direction or suggestion and create mockups and iterations within a timely manner for routine review
  • Experienced with package design using die-cut templates, manual booklet design and layout and brochures.
  • Detail, focused, and quality oriented.
  • Experience with Web graphic design and user experience (UI) based software (Preferred)
  • CPG experience preferred.
