Job SummaryThe Device Repair Technician supports corporate and franchise stores by providing entry-level device repair services and remote technical support. This role performs basic repairs on smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices. The Device Repair Technician will assist with remote technical support, inventory processes, and training activities. This position will build foundational knowledge and hands-on skills through structured observation, collaboration, and guided practice. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevice Repair and Technical SupportPerform basic to intermediate repairs on smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, and other devices based on priority.Provide remote support for in-store device repairs using live camera sessions. Assist in the teardown and reassembly of devices under supervision. Receive, pack, and ship devices according to workflow and shipping schedules. Follow all safety procedures and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Training and Support Participate in live training observations to build repair knowledge and technique. Assist with technical training activities, including taking photos, capturing repair steps, and supporting video production.Contribute to written documentation for common device repair activities as needed.Inventory DocumentationSupport weekly cycle counts to ensure accurate device parts inventory levels. Maintain accurate records of repair activity and shipping details.Customer ServiceCommunicate with store associates to provide repair status updates and shipping information. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to management as needed.
