Part-Time Early Morning Phlebotomist


Schedule: 2–3 hours per shift, 3–5 mornings per week (early morning hours)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent early morning hours while providing exceptional care to our residents.

The successful candidate will perform venipuncture and specimen collection in a professional, safe, and resident-centered manner while maintaining compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and laboratory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on assisted living residents.

  • Properly identify patients and accurately label specimens.

  • Follow all infection control, OSHA, and standard precaution guidelines.

  • Prepare specimens according to laboratory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and specimen logs.

  • Ensure resident comfort while providing compassionate, professional care.

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and laboratory personnel.

Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program.

  • Current national phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or equivalent).

  • Minimum of five years of phlebotomy experience preferred; experience with geriatric patients is highly desirable.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
