Phlebotomy Instructor Orleans/Niagara BOCESJob Description:Orleans/Niagara BOCES is seeking a Phlebotomist Instructor to teach aspiring phlebotomists. Candidates must have 3 years of practical experience or teaching in phlebotomy along with a high school diploma and current Phlebotomy Technician Certification or be a Licensed Registered Nurse with Phlebotomy experience. This part-time role involves both classroom and hands-on instruction, with emphasis on maintaining a positive learning environment.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards
- High School, GED, or equivalency completion; AND
- 3 years of practical experience in Phlebotomy, or three years of acceptable teaching experience in Phlebotomy, or three years of acceptable administrative or supervisory experience, or a combination of such acceptable experience amounting to at least three years, or a licensed RN with phlebotomy experience.
- Current Phlebotomy Certification if not a licensed registered nurse
- Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with technology including operation of computers
- Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills
- We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy
- This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field
- The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction
- Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
- Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competence

- Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Organize and manage clinical rotation schedule

Anticipated Salary: $34.00-$36.60 per hour dependent upon qualifications
