Job description

Join Our Collaborative, Child-Centered Team in Philadelphia!

At Expansion Speech Therapy, we believe in the power of joy, collaboration, and connection. Weโ€™re not just a practice - weโ€™re a passionate, tight-knit team dedicated to helping children and families thrive.
Weโ€™re looking for a Part-Tme Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve our Philadelphia-area families. The ideal candidate has expertise in feeding and swallowing and is eager to work in a supportive, energetic environment where clinical excellence and work-life balance go hand in hand.
Whether youโ€™re guiding an infant and parents during breast or bottle-feeding, helping a toddler explore new textures, brainstorming goals with a teammate, or celebrating a childโ€™s first successful bite - youโ€™ll be surrounded by colleagues who genuinely love what they do. At Expansion, clinicians learn from one another, collaborate across disciplines, and grow together.
What Youโ€™ll Do:
Direct Patient Care (approximately 75%):
  • Evaluate and treat infants, toddlers, and children with feeding and swallowing needs in home, school, and community settings across Philadelphia.
  • Use play-based, sensory-rich, and evidence-informed strategies to support oral-motor development, safe swallowing, and positive mealtime experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with families and interdisciplinary partners (OT, PT, GI, lactation, nutrition, and more) to develop personalized, meaningful goals.
  • Coach caregivers with empathy, clarity, and humor to reduce stress and build confidence around daily feeding routines.
Documentation & Professional Growth (approximately 25%):
  • Maintain accurate, thoughtful documentation that reflects progress and clinical reasoning.
  • Stay curious - pursue continuing education, share knowledge with teammates, and contribute to our collaborative learning culture.
  • Advocate for feeding therapy in the Philadelphia community - one pediatrician, daycare provider, or snack-time success at a time.

Who You Are:
  • A licensed SLP (CCC-SLP) in Pennsylvania with a passion for feeding and swallowing.
  • Experienced in pediatric feeding and swallowing (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Skilled in evaluation and treatment; experience with VFSS or FEES interpretation is a plus.
  • A team player who communicates openly, listens deeply, and values diverse perspectives.
  • Flexible, compassionate, and playful - because feeding therapy is equal parts science and soul.
  • Interested in working in the home and community settings within Philadelphia.
  • Please note: We are not accepting clinical fellows for this position at this time.

Why Youโ€™ll Love Working With Us:
  • Supportive culture: Weโ€™re serious about teamwork, mentorship, and celebrating wins โ€” big and small.
  • Flexible scheduling: Design a caseload that fits your life โ€” part-time with room to grow.
  • Professional development: Access to CEU support, collaboration with seasoned feeding specialists, and opportunities for career growth.
  • Competitive compensation: Fair pay, benefits options, and meaningful work-life balance.
  • Joyful work: We believe feeding therapy should feel positive and empowering - for the child, the family, and you.
