Timken Gears and Services Philadelphia Gear brand is seeking a reliable and hands-on Industrial Facilities & Maintenance Mechanic to support the upkeep of our manufacturing facility, equipment, and infrastructure. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, facility repairs, and supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a skilled trade such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, or industrial maintenance and possess strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues affecting production and facility operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, building systems, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Assist with installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and facility infrastructure.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors performing maintenance or repair work.
  • Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders accurately.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and facility performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repair, or a related skilled trade.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain certification.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction trades.
  • Welding, fabrication, or machine repair experience.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes or other material handling equipment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in varying positions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.
  • Ability to safely work around machinery, equipment, and industrial environments

Pay Range: $33 - $43 an hour
