A propos d'Anyon Systems

Anyon Systems est une entreprise d'informatique quantique situee dans la grande region de Montreal qui developpe et commercialise des ordinateurs quantiques supraconducteurs. Vous rejoindrez notre equipe de physique - des ingenieurs et des scientifiques dedies a la conception, a la fabrication et aux essais de processeurs quantiques supraconducteurs - en collaborant avec plusieurs equipes, avec un fort accent sur la documentation et la pensee critique.


Responsabilites

  • Effectuer des mesures cryogeniques de dispositifs supraconducteurs, notamment la spectroscopie, la caracterisation de la lecture, le controle des qubits et le suivi des performances.
  • Comparer les performances mesurees des dispositifs aux predictions de simulation; affiner les modeles de dispositifs et ajuster les regles de conception en consequence.
  • Prendre en charge le cycle de vie de l'etalonnage des qubits et coupleurs supraconducteurs : spectroscopie et attribution, mise en forme des impulsions, polarisation par flux, reglage des portes a deux qubits, sequences d'etalonnage automatisees, analyse comparative et attenuation de la derive.
  • Developper l'automatisation : creer des graphes et guides d'etalonnage robustes; les integrer aux piles de controle et a l'orchestration des experiences afin de permettre des etalonnages de routine sans intervention et des tableaux de bord de sante.
  • Analyser les regressions de performance; concevoir des experiences controlees pour attribuer les canaux de perte (materiaux, boitiers, diaphonie, impulsions de controle) et proposer des mesures correctives avec les parties prenantes du materiel et du logiciel.
  • Collaborer avec les equipes de R&D, de nanofabrication et d'ingenierie afin d'aligner le developpement materiel sur les objectifs au niveau du systeme.
  • Preparer une documentation technique detaillee, des rapports de conception et contribuer a la planification de la feuille de route.


Qualifications

  • Doctorat (ou maitrise avec experience equivalente) en physique, physique appliquee, genie electrique et informatique, ou domaine connexe, avec une experience pratique demontree des qubits supraconducteurs ou du controle quantique.
  • Experience de l'utilisation de refrigerateurs a dilution et de bancs de mesure cryogeniques; aisance avec les environnements de controle materiel sur site et les pratiques de deploiement securise.
  • Familiarite avec l'electronique de controle pour les systemes quantiques (analyseurs de reseau vectoriel/analyseurs de spectre, AWG, sources micro-ondes).
  • Maitrise de Python pour le controle d'experiences et l'analyse de donnees; familiarite avec le calcul scientifique et le controle de versions (Git).
  • Excellentes competences en communication, documentation et collaboration interequipes; etat d'esprit oriente solutions dans un environnement de R&D en evolution rapide.
  • Bilingue (francais/anglais)

About Anyon Systems

Anyon Systems is a quantum computing company in the Greater Montreal Region developing and commercialising superconducting quantum computers. You will join our Physics Team-engineers and scientists dedicated to the design, fabrication, and testing of superconducting quantum processors-collaborating across teams with a strong focus on documentation and critical thinking.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct cryogenic measurements of superconducting devices including spectroscopy, readout characterization, qubit control, and performance monitoring.
  • Compare measured device performance to simulation predictions; refine device models and adjust design rules accordingly.
  • Own calibration lifecycle for superconducting qubits and couplers: spectroscopy & assignment, pulse shaping, fluxbiasing, twoqubit gate tuneups, automated calibration sequences, benchmarking, and drift mitigation.
  • Develop automation: create robust calibration graphs/playbooks; integrate with control stacks and experiment orchestration to enable handsoff routine calibrations and health dashboards.
  • Analyze performance regressions; design controlled experiments to attribute loss channels (materials, packaging, crosstalk, control pulses) and propose corrective actions with hardware and software stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with R&D, nanofabrication, and engineering teams to align hardware development with system-level goals.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, design reports, and contribute to roadmap planning.


Qualifications

  • PhD (or MSc with equivalent experience) in Physics, Applied Physics, ECE, or related field, with demonstrated handson work in superconducting qubits or quantum control.
  • Experience operating dilution refrigerators and cryogenic measurement setups; comfort with onpremise hardware control environments and secure deployment practices.
  • Familiarity with control electronics for quantum systems (VNA/spectrum analyzers, AWGs, microwave sources).
  • Proficiency in Python for experiment control and data analysis; familiarity with scientific computing and version control (Git).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and crossteam collaboration skills; solutionsoriented mindset in a fastmoving R&D environment.
  • Bilingual (French/English)
