Description
Scripps College, a women's liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Philosophy, beginning Fall 2023. Normal teaching load is four courses per year and advising on senior thesis is anticipated. Participation in the Core Curriculum in Interdisciplinary Humanities program is expected.
Scripps College is one of the seven members of The Claremont Colleges consortium located 35 miles east of Los Angeles. Qualifications
Area of Specialization: Core areas of analytic philosophy, including Metaphysics, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language, and Philosophy of Science. Area of Competence: Open. The Department has strengths in Value Theory and Epistemology. PhD. required by May 2023.
