Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator to join our team in Key West, FL. This position is on-site 5 days a week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
* Work side-by-side with the engineer to maintain and deploy VDI thin clients
* Work directly with SCCM/MECM to ensure patching/security compliance is handled and with the Service Desk department to troubleshoot issues with the hardware/software
* Keeping master image and pools update and secured. Implement patches, updates, and configuration changes in coordination with cybersecurity and IT teams
* Interface with the customer, gathering requirements and delivering solutions.
* Troubleshoot VDI-related issues, including user access, performance, connectivity, and software compatibility
* Monitor system performance and usage to identify bottlenecks or failure points and recommend improvements
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in relevant field. A degree can be substituted for additional experience.
* High School Diploma and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor's degree
* Associate's degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor's degree
* A master's degree is equivalent to an additional 2 years of experience and a PhD is equivalent to an additional 4 years of experience
* 5+ years of direct experience supporting VDI environments
* 10+ years of overall IT experience in system administration or related technical roles
* Experience with VMware Horizon, Citrix, or other major VDI solutions. Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree or PhD in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
* FSLogix and/or HorizonView Client experience preferred
* VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V), or related certification.
* Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements: * Must have an active Secret clearance.
* Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
* Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
