Job description

The Senior Manager, Data Science provides leadership to professional staff focused on a narrow range of work within a function (i.e., a job family)
Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams.
Identifies and addresses complex technical, operational and/or organization challenges.
Makes decisions guided by resource availability and functional objectives Develops and implements tactical operational plans that align with business objectives.
*This position is required onsite 4 days per week, typically Monday- Thursday
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for multiple business domains (business vertical, geography, function)

  • Set annual goals for team and executes; goals are major driver of BU/COE unit deliverables.

  • Resource assignment delegated to managers, has processes to ensure the right resources are getting assigned to highest priority; able to get resources if required (prioritization, business case)

  • Strategically manage deliverables required from key functional units. Produces annual roadmaps with partners.

  • Able to lead and manage team across multiple domains.

  • Drive key strategy for team, team strategy informs Inspire Brands strategic direction (Growth Playbook)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM requirement options:
  • Master's degree in a STEM field with 4+ years of relevant work experience OR

  • PhD in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant work experience

PREFERRED:
  • Master's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant work experience. Experience managing multiple individual contributors.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Must demonstrate ability to manage stakeholders, capacity to think strategically, and aptitude to coach, mentor, and manage highly technical FTEs.
