The School The role is within our School of Applied Sciences and Technology.

The School offers a variety of programming in Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sciences, and Animal Health Technology. Through this programming, we offer a variety of certificates, diplomas, university transfer courses, as well as a degree in computing science. The Role The Humanities and Social Sciences Department requires an English Instructor to teach the following courses in the Fall 2026 term.

EN1201 - Composition and Rhetoric (blended delivery with 2 hours of remote, synchronous delivery over Teams per week) EN1990 - English for Engineering Students (on-campus, in-person delivery) Course descriptions are available at https://www.nwpolytech.ca/admissiongetting-started/academic-calendar#/courses. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include: Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles; Knowledge of current educational technologies (e.g., videoconferencing, learning management systems) is desired; Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action; The ability to teach both online and classroom-based courses; Student-focused; Strong organizational skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
